Position: Veterinary Technician, PT Faculty Veterinarian

Location: Perkasie Campus

Reports to: Dean of Health Sciences

Bucks County Community College is seeking a Part‑Time Faculty Veterinarian to join our growing Veterinary Technician program. About the Role

• Plan, prepare, and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture, clinical, and/or laboratory format based on the approved course outline, selecting and utilizing a variety of approved course materials and teaching methods that address all learning modalities to ensure the needs of individual students are met.
• Assess student learning using appropriate methods.
• Conduct engaging classroom lectures and/or labs based on the course outline.
• Motivate students by demonstrating sensitivity to concerns and actively involving them in classroom discussions and/or activities.
• Plan for equipment and supplies, or other activities as needed.
• Complete all course assessments as required.
• Use technology to enhance teaching and learning in the classroom.

Veterinarian‑Specific Duties

• Form and review the IACUC committee and procedures.
• Oversee the health and safety of animals used in the classroom.
• Oversee USDA inspections.
• Maintain DEA licensure for the program.
• Schedule students for clinical assignments.
• Perform clinical site visits.
• Serve as OSHA safety officer.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed veterinarian in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Two years of experience in an educational institution (teaching or program oversight).
