Job summary

NCVMA seeks a Veterinarian/Medical Director for its Veterinary Technology program. This 9-month faculty appointment combines clinical leadership with full-time teaching duties, including an 8-10 credit load per semester and supervision of students across campus labs, affiliated sites, and the mobile unit.

The Medical Director will ensure animal-use SOPs and IACUC compliance, support accreditation, and partner with the Dean and clinical sites to promote safety, professionalism, and compassionate

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school.
• Current licensure as a veterinarian.
• Experience in veterinary clinical practice.
• DEA registration preferred; must obtain licensure within 6 months of hire if not held.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and medical leadership in the veterinary technology program.
• Teach 8–10 credits per semester and supervise students across sites.
• Lead program development, accreditation support, and compliance.
• Oversee safety, lab instruction, and clinical supervision.
• Coordinate across Monaca, Washington, and partner sites.
