Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Medical Director to advance clinical and operational alignment across our medical group. You will provide clinical and managerial leadership, problem-solve collaboratively, and plan development of the medical staff and clinic while ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.

You will drive key quality initiatives, interact with Practice Managers and executives, and mentor new physicians. Strong leadership and change-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active medical license required
• Demonstrated ability to deliver quality and efficient patient care and operations
• Proven leadership in recruitment, retention, and leadership development
• Experience guiding talent in a changing healthcare environment, with budget and QA oversight

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical staff activities to maintain regulatory standards.
• Oversee physician monitoring for credentialing and patient safety.
• Lead physician performance management and behavioral refinement.
• Ensure quality oversight and integration with medical group processes.
• Serve as liaison between medical staff, CMO, and facility leadership.
• Onboard and mentor new physicians, including onboarding activities.
• Ensure clinical supervision of mid-level providers.
