Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking a Medical Director to oversee new admissions and collaborate with on-site Nurse Practitioners in sub-acute and long-term care units. This on-site, part-time or full-time role emphasizes quality initiatives, clinical leadership, and comprehensive primary care for skilled nursing residents.

The candidate must hold an MD or DO with a U.S. residency and a valid state license, and may need a Certified Medical Director credential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid medical license in the state of practice.
• Must hold a valid DEA/Controlled Substances license.
• Completed a U.S. residency program.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Certified Medical Director or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Director or Attending Physician for SNFs/Rehabs and participate in quality initiatives for assigned facilities.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners to manage daily resident care at each facility.
• Attend monthly QA/regulatory meetings and quarterly staff meetings.
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care services.
