Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a Medical Director to lead the Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) medical portfolio within US Medical Affairs. You will influence medical strategy and lifecycle planning, acting as a subject-matter expert for SCD and collaborating with Global Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams to advance clinical initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required; 4+ years in pharma, clinical/medical practice or related
• Strong leadership and collaboration abilities
• Experience or knowledge in SCD and Medical Affairs preferred
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Able to build internal and external relationships and work in a matrix organization

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of US medical strategies for the SCD portfolio
• Review and approve promotional and nonpromotional materials for fair balance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set strategic direction
• Plan and lead advisory boards, congresses, and related activities
• Contribute to publication planning and data generation activities related to HCP education
• Provide expert medical input on data, disease state, labels, and competitive data
• Develop HCP engagement plans and support internal medical training materials
• Support medical education and dissemination efforts including publications and exchanges
