Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Medical Director to advance clinical excellence, strengthen provider engagement, and lead clinical value-based care across the Tennessee market (east TN area, inclusive of northwest GA - Dalton).

This role combines patient care, clinical leadership, and VBC program management, partnering with the central interdisciplinary team and operations to optimize the care model and outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Preventative Medicine, or Geriatrics.
• Active medical licenses in Tennessee and Georgia (or willingness to pursue multi-state licensure).
• Approximately 5 years of outpatient practice experience with high-risk, complex patient populations.
• Experience leading value-based care programs and improving quality and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical excellence and drive VBC program management across the Tennessee market.
• Strengthen provider engagement and collaborate with central interdisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical oversight and hands-on coaching to nurse practitioners in Upperline Plus.
• Identify market opportunities and improve clinical processes.
• Lead VBC and population health initiatives to optimize care and outcomes.
