Job summary

The Recruiting Hive seeks a Medical Director (Family Practice/Internal Medicine/ Infectious Disease) for our outpatient facility in San Francisco, CA. Join a mission-driven team serving the local community with a strong emphasis on productivity and quality care.

Requirements include MD/DO with active license, valid DEA and Furnishing license, outpatient experience, and ability to handle 14–18 patients per day. On-site, direct hire, full-time role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active medical license.
• Valid DEA registration and Furnishing license.
• Outpatient primary care experience required.
• Able to manage 14–18 patients daily.
• Active CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and meet productivity standards.
• Oversee scheduling to minimize no-shows and meet targets.
• Document same day or within 72 hours with accurate E/M codes.
• Deliver primary care for chronic and acute issues.
• Collaborate with front desk, care coordinators, and nurses.
• Review consultant reports, imaging, and labs promptly.
• Process prescription renewals within 72 hours.
• Monitor voicemails and emails daily.
• Support patient retention with retention summaries.
• Supervise PAs and NPs with chart reviews/audits.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage.
• Full-time physicians receive protected admin time.
