Job summary

Labcorp Oncology seeks a Medical Director, Clinical Development for the MRD Portfolio in solid tumors at our Durham, NC site. This physician-scientist will shape and execute the clinical development strategy for MRD and ctDNA–based technologies, driving evidence generation and clinical adoption across tumor types.

The successful candidate is a board-certified medical oncologist with extensive experience in clinical development, evidence generation, and external collaborations to advance MRD

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and Board certification in Medical Oncology.
• 5+ years post-fellowship clinical experience.
• 8+ years designing/leading clinical studies and evidence-generation.
• Experience with MRD, ctDNA, or biomarker-driven programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical development strategy for MRD portfolio across solid tumors.
• Oversee evidence-generation programs establishing clinical validity and utility.
• Collaborate with R&D, medical affairs, market access, and regulatory teams.
• Represent Labcorp Oncology as scientific lead at conferences and collaborations.
• Guide payer discussions and guideline-inclusion efforts for MRD testing.
