Who We're Looking For
IMsci seeks a highly motivated and experienced Medical Director with a strong scientific background, marketing savvy, and excellent communication skills. The candidate should be passionate about medical education and communication, capable of managing multiple teams and client accounts, with a deep understanding of scientific principles and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging messages.

What You'll Do

  1. Champion brands by maximizing scientific data to meet strategic imperatives, positioning, and long-term vision.
  2. Develop and oversee projects requiring scientific and technical expertise.
  3. Ensure client satisfaction, scientific rigor, accuracy, and strategic excellence.
  4. Interpret and distill complex medical information from journal articles and clinical reports.
  5. Write, edit, and rewrite medical content, ensuring scientific accuracy and marketing relevance.
  6. Collaborate with teams to develop impactful materials.
  7. Coach, manage, and mentor junior staff.
  8. Manage internal processes, providing guidance and recommendations.
  9. Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders.
  10. Participate in new business opportunities.
  11. Liaise with clients, fulfill requests, and participate in meetings.
  12. Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  13. Stay updated on therapeutic markets and share insights.
  14. Participate in developing innovative programs grounded in science.
  15. Ensure high-quality agency output, rejecting substandard materials.
  16. Manage and direct freelance writers as needed.

  • Advanced degree in biomedical sciences (MD, PhD, or Pharm D).
  • 4+ years of experience at a medical communications agency.
  • Experience across multiple therapeutic areas.
  • Experience managing teams and client accounts.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, internet search, and PubMed.
