Role Overview

We seek a skilled Consultant with expertise in Continuing Medical Education (CME) Accreditation. You will guide the development of a CME course that complies with ACCME standards to enable CME credits. In-depth knowledge of the ACCME accreditation process, standards, and documentation is essential. Familiarity with multiple sclerosis or neurology is a plus.

This is a remote role; candidates must have reliable internet, be comfortable with virtual tools, and be available during US business hours.

Compensation: Hourly rate negotiable.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead CME Accreditation Strategy: Guide the project through ACCME accreditation, ensuring compliance for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
  2. Ensure ACCME Compliance: Oversee course planning, content, faculty disclosures, conflict mitigation, and bias prevention.
  3. Guide Educational Design: Advise on course structure, learning objectives, and educational formats aligned with ACCME standards.
  4. Manage Documentation & Reporting: Handle all accreditation documentation, including needs assessments, disclosures, evaluations, and PARS reporting if applicable.
  5. Review Content for Validity: Ensure content is evidence-based, balanced, and unbiased from a CME perspective.
  6. Presentation Support: Assist with presenting compliance aspects if needed.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience guiding medical education activities through ACCME accreditation.
  • Proven ability to manage CME documentation and processes.
  • Solid understanding of adult learning and instructional design principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant background such as CME Director/Manager or Medical Education Specialist roles.
  • Availability during US business hours.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with joint providerships.
  • Familiarity with neurology or MS CME programs.
  • CHCP certification is advantageous.
