Job summary

CMR Recruiting is seeking a Medical Director to oversee two skilled nursing facilities in Thomaston, CT. This part-time, in-person role offers flexible scheduling, no nights, no weekends, and the opportunity to lead clinical oversight of APPs while working closely with facility leadership.

Board-certified in Family, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics, with CT MD or DO license and DEA registration, the ideal candidate has SNF or geriatric experience and is comfortable supervising NPs and PAs.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut MD or DO license and DEA registration.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatrics.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long term care or geriatric primary care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Director for two skilled nursing facilities in the Thomaston area.
• Provide clinical oversight and supervision of the advanced practice providers.
• Round on residents and manage chronic conditions and acute changes in condition.
• Partner with facility leadership on quality, regulatory compliance and care planning.

Compensation: $150,000 - $220,000 Annual Salary, part time

This is a part time, in person position with a flexible schedule built around your availability, and there are no nights, no weekends and no on-call. You will partner with facility leadership on quality, regulatory compliance and care planning while practicing independently of facility staff.
