Job summary

CMR Recruiting seeks a Medical Director for two Skilled Nursing Facilities in Thomaston, CT. The role is part-time and in-person, offering flexible scheduling with no nights, weekends, or on-call requirements.

You will supervise advanced practice providers, round on residents, and lead care planning with facility leadership to ensure high-quality, compliant patient care.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut MD or DO license and DEA registration.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatrics.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long term care or geriatric primary care preferred.
• Comfortable supervising nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Director for two skilled nursing facilities in Thomaston, CT.
• Provide clinical oversight and supervision of advanced practice providers.
• Round on residents and manage chronic conditions and acute changes in condition.
• Partner with facility leadership on quality, regulatory compliance and care planning.

Compensation: $150,000 - $220,000 Annual Salary, part time

Position Description

You will serve as the Medical Director across two skilled nursing facilities in the Thomaston, CT area, providing clinical oversight of the advanced practice providers and rounding on residents as the attending physician. This is a part time, in person position with a flexible schedule built around your availability, and there are no nights, no weekends and no on-call. You will partner with facility leadership on quality, regulatory compliance and care planning while practicing independently of facility staff.
