Job summary

Global-Talent-Partners invites an experienced veterinarian to assume a Medical Director role in Seymour, CT, blending hands-on clinical medicine with leadership to shape medical standards and mentor colleagues within an established small-animal hospital.

You will stay actively involved with patients, lead a collaborative veterinary team, and drive clinical quality initiatives while supporting staff development, workflow improvements, and client care excellence.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinarian; CT veterinary license preferred.
• Experience in leadership roles within a veterinary hospital.
• Proven ability to mentor clinicians and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership across the veterinary team
• Maintain and develop high standards of patient care
• Mentor and coach fellow veterinarians
• Support clinical development of technicians and other staff
• Provide case consultation and guidance on challenging cases
• Deliver comprehensive wellness and preventative medicine
• Diagnose and manage internal medicine cases
• Oversee routine surgical procedures and dental care
• Utilize digital imaging and in-house laboratory capabilities
• Develop and maintain clinical protocols and best practices
• Lead case discussions and collaborative decision-making
• Identify opportunities for medical quality improvement
• Promote continuing education and professional development
• Partner with leadership on workflow improvements
• Support an excellent client experience and team culture
• Remain involved in clinical medicine while guiding hospital direction
