Job summary

University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a full-time clinical hematopathologist to serve as Medical Director of Hematology Laboratories at UCSF Health. Open at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level with emphasis on clinical service and teaching.

The successful candidate will lead hematopathology services, provide educational oversight, and may pursue translational or collaborative research in Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or MD-PhD degree.
• Board certified or board eligible in Clinical Pathology.
• Board certified or board eligible in Hematopathology.
• Hold or be eligible for a California Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership for UCSF's Hematology Laboratories across multiple campuses.
• Oversee daily clinical operations and laboratory sign-out services.
• Interpretation of peripheral blood smears, body fluids, and coagulation testing.
