Medical Director, Global Medical Safety (Remote)

Position Overview

This role involves leading safety strategies for pharmaceutical, biological, and drug-device products, acting as a key safety expert, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Serve as Global Safety Lead and patient safety expert for assigned products.
2. Lead safety teams and represent safety profiles to internal and external stakeholders.
3. Manage benefit-risk assessments and safety data analysis.
4. Develop safety strategies and respond to regulatory inquiries.
5. Provide medical safety input for clinical development and regulatory documents.
6. Collaborate with various departments and interact with regulatory authorities.
7. Ensure compliance with global health authority requirements.
8. Mentor pharmacovigilance staff and maintain professional development.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. or equivalent, with clinical experience and knowledge of general medicine.
• Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical industry within drug safety/pharmacovigilance.
• At least 3 years experience with safety surveillance and risk management.

Additional Requirements

• Board certification and licensure preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $228,200 - $358,600 annually, with additional benefits including incentives, insurance, 401(k), and paid time off, depending on location and experience.
