Job summary

ModMed, headquartered in Boca Raton, seeks a Gastroenterologist to join as Medical Director, Gastroenterology, combining clinical leadership with product and customer-success responsibilities. You will become a GI clinical and product expert, shaping GI workflows and supporting client initiatives.

This role requires 5+ years in private practice, travel willingness, and outstanding communication skills. You will lead demonstrations, attend conferences, and collaborate across Go-to-Market,

Qualifications

• Gastroenterologist with at least 5+ years clinical experience; with recent experience practicing in a private practice setting.
• Commitment of at least 2 days a week.
• Willingness to travel to HQ, tradeshows, customer on-sites and conferences.
• Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop deep expertise across the ModMed GI product portfolio.
• Willingness to work hard and collaborate in a team environment.
• Open to use all aspects of the product for testing including PM, Patient Engagement, RCM, AI, Klara.
• Strong problem solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership.
• Strong commitment to quality and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a GI clinical and product expert, developing deep knowledge of ModMed’s platform and GI workflows.
• Gather user feedback and partner with Product teams to validate workflows, concepts, and enhancements.
• Support customer retention through proactive outreach and ongoing client engagement.
• Attend annual user group conferences and lead demonstrations for Sales and Marketing.
• Partner with Marketing to support speaking engagements, webinars, and market growth.
• Serve as a clinical escalation resource for Customer Success and Implementation teams.
