Job summary

Accuity Delivery Systems is seeking a Medical Director to lead chart reviews for inpatient stays, ensuring accurate documentation and coding in compliance with federal laws. You will work with a DRG Integrity Specialist to confirm principal diagnoses and DRGs, validating procedures and CC/MCC indicators as needed.

The role oversees every chart assigned to their team, driving quality, compliance, and opportunity capture across the tower.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited medical school.
Preferred completion of an ACGME accredited US residency program.
Minimum of a total of 5 years of clinical experience including residency.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical leadership in an inter-disciplinary team to drive client results and confidence.
Maintain collaboration with the DRG Integrity Specialist to achieve goals.
Comply with medical and federal guidelines at all times.
Resolve conflicts quickly and professionally.
Stay up to date with medical guidelines and client criteria.
Ensure quality of team work by developing and implementing quality improvement goals.
Generate compliant queries based on clinical indicators for each diagnosis, meeting regulations.
Review tower analytics with management to improve opportunity capture and drive client results.
Collaborate with Senior Management and Compliance Officer to meet organizational goals.
Participate in corporate educational activities.
Utilize technology and EMR systems effectively.
Excel in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Exceed performance expectations in productivity and quality of tower work.
Take on additional responsibilities and demonstrate leadership at a departmental level.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
