Job summary

Sacbar is seeking a DRG Revenue Integrity Auditor (DRG - A) to perform DRG validation and quality audits on inpatient charts from remote locations in the United States. You will review charts, ensure accurate coding, and use ICD-10-CM/PCS terminology to capture true clinical pictures in compliance with guidelines.

The role requires CCS certification and 5+ years in acute care or with a CDS/DRG auditing background, with strong analytical skills and the ability to train or mentor new hires.

Qualifications

• CCS certification is required.
• Five or more years of experience in an acute care setting or with a third-party vendor as a DRG Auditor or CDS.
• CDI/Coding auditor experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with telecommuting and EMR systems is expected.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to coding guidelines and CDI best practices to determine correct coding.
• Analyze records for potential query opportunities and correct code sequencing.
• Maintain quality reviews and ensure the true clinical picture is captured with productivity.
• Stay up to date with official coding guidelines and clinical criteria.
• Provide training to new hires and assist with training materials and policies.
• Assist with project data analysis, reporting, and client feedback.
