Job summary

Kite Pharma, based in Santa Monica, CA, seeks a Medical Director to lead multiple oncology clinical trials of a novel CAR T-cell therapy. You will partner with internal teams and external sites to drive study delivery, regulatory interactions, and strategic development planning.

Ideal candidates hold an MD with 4+ years in oncology trials, board certification in Hematology/Oncology preferred, and are adept at cross-functional leadership in a fast-paced biopharma environment.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent with 4+ years of experience managing oncology trials.
• Experience leading oncology trials in hematology/oncology.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and conduct clinical studies.
• Knowledge of regulatory filings and clinical development processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical monitoring to multiple oncology clinical trials.
• Lead project teams to design and implement clinical studies.
• Write protocols, investigator brochures, clinical study reports and review documents.
• Conduct investigator meetings and site initiation visits.
• Execute and deploy drug development strategic plans and budgets.
• Translate research findings into clinical development opportunities.
• Interact with investigators and thought leaders.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across operations, biomarker, CROs, and regulatory affairs.
