Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. seeks a dedicated Medical Director/Attending Physician to provide exceptional care across Knoxville, Tennessee-area skilled nursing facilities.

The role offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative practice environment, and the opportunity to positively impact post-acute and long-term patient health. You’ll cover facilities 1-2 days per week, with 18-25 patient visits daily, no on-call, and no overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Active MD or DO with unrestricted US license or eligibility for licensure.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in FM, IM, Geriatrics, PM&R & ED.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership and oversee care across local skilled nursing facilities in Knoxville, TN.
• Manage 18-25 patient visits per day with no on-call or overnight shifts.
• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Support documentation and care coordination with an iPad LTE for remote access.
