The Opportunity

  1. Communicate Vituity’s purpose, mission, values, and strategy to ensure alignment.
  2. Ensure compliance with all Vituity policies and communicate these to providers.
  3. Monitor healthcare and economic trends impacting the practice and region.
  4. Develop and execute an annual practice management plan with clear goals that deliver value to patients, providers, and the community.
  5. Lead the local administrative team, selecting members and aligning responsibilities to meet practice goals.
  6. Maintain mastery of Vituity policies and fiduciary duties, ensuring adherence from all providers.
  7. Foster open communication and transparency, including annual reviews of stipends and scheduling preferences.
  8. Understand hospital expectations and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
  9. Monitor operational and quality metrics, implementing initiatives to improve performance.
  10. Streamline workflows using technology and best practices for increased efficiency.
  11. Oversee site financial performance and identify growth opportunities.
  12. Understand budgeting, financial metrics, billing, and reimbursement systems.
  13. Optimize patient census and billing practices to enhance reimbursement.
  14. Engage with payers, including IPAs, medical groups, and ACOs.
  15. Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of providers.
  16. Provide professional development and mentoring to staff and providers.
  17. Evaluate physician and provider performance, ensuring compliance with policies.
  18. Monitor and improve physician competencies, taking corrective actions as necessary.
  19. Participate in contract negotiations with the Regional Director.
  20. Build collaborative relationships with hospital leadership and healthcare teams.
  21. Represent the practice in hospital committees and community activities.

Required Experience and Competencies

  1. MD or DO degree from an accredited institution, with completion of an accredited residency.
  2. Maintain hospital privileges and adhere to bylaws and policies.
  3. Physician Partnership status required.
  4. Minimum five years of leadership experience.
  5. Desire to work in an academic setting with residents preferred.
  6. Strong communication, clinical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  7. Ability to motivate teams and manage projects.
  8. Effective collaboration across locations and diverse teams.
  9. Technical proficiency and financial acumen.
