Job summary

Counsel Health, Inc. is seeking an experienced physician leader to scale our AI-native primary care medical group.

In a player-coach role, you will directly manage our physicians (W-2 and 1099) while also seeing patients about 30% of the time. You will partner with the VP of Care Delivery and VP of Clinical Operations to raise performance, build a culture of clinical excellence, and drive scalable care programs.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• 3+ years of post-residency clinical practice; 5+ preferred.
• Direct physician management experience with coaching, performance feedback.
• Currently practicing medicine or provided direct patient care in past 3 months.
• 10+ active U.S. state medical licenses; willingness to obtain more.
• Virtual care experience and comfort with asynchronous, messaging-based care.

Responsibilities

• Scale and lead a high-performing medical group.
• Shape the physician experience and culture; drive engagement and retention.
• Build and launch new clinical programs with Product and AI teams.
• Drive clinical and operational excellence with analytical rigor.
• Lead with clinical judgment and make decisive calls as needed.
• Stay connected to patient care by practicing medicine ~30% of the time.
