Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of assembly/test experience with medical instruments or prototypes.
• Proficient with microscope and opto-mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with high-power optical fiber delivery systems.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly equipment (PCB soldering stations, hand tools).
• Experience with test equipment such as digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, lab power supplies is a plus.
• Laser/optical system assembly and alignment experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, inspect, and repair medical instruments, components, assemblies, and prototypes.
• Assist in development and review of manufacturing documentation for new medical instruments, device prototypes including work instructions, test plans, and test procedures.
• Read schematics, mechanical drawings, and work instructions to ensure proper assembly and testing of medical instruments and device prototypes.
• Perform root cause failure investigations on medical instruments, device products and prototypes.
• Record test data and generate test reports.
