Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a meticulous Electronics Assembler to repair, calibrate, and inspect electronic units. You will read schematics and wiring diagrams, perform component replacements, and document test results.

The role requires proficiency with test equipment and collaboration with the team to resolve issues. Ideal candidates have experience in medical device assembly, strong quality awareness, and the ability to work from drawings with limited supervision.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; on-the-job training provided.
  • Experience in medical device assembly preferred.
  • Computer/data entry experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of quality standards required.
  • Ability to read drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to use test equipment like multimeters and power supplies.
  • Strong English language skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

  • Repair, rework, or calibrate units, subassemblies, or components to meet operational specifications or tolerances.
  • Conduct tests and inspections of products and processes to evaluate quality, performance, and compliance with specifications.
  • Read test schedules, work orders, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedures and equipment.
  • Trim and prepare components such as wire cables, connectors, and resistors using solder and adhesives according to prints and procedural documents.
  • Use power supplies, multimeters, leak detection/vacuum systems, volt meters, flowtrax testing equipment, ohmmeters, soldering equipment, and precision hand tools.
  • Perform or inspect component replacement and rework on units, subassemblies, and repair/exchange assemblies.
  • Read instrument dials, scopes, and viewing screens indicating resistance, capacitance, continuity, wave patterns, short circuits, or current leakage.
  • Compare instrument readings or monitor displays with standards and reject defective units.
  • Confer with technicians, production supervisors, and others regarding testing procedures and results to resolve problems.
  • Examine components, subassemblies, or parts for defects.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot test results on defective units to determine causes of failure as needed.
  • Navigate software systems and input data.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electronic component parts to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Explain assembly testing procedures or techniques to other workers as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Specific Job training will be provided.
  • Previous medical device assembly experience preferred.
  • Computer/ Data Entry experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of quality standards.
  • Computers and Electronics – Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and work from drawings, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and written instructions with limited supervision.
  • Ability to use a variety of equipment including but not limited to power supplies, multimeters, leak detection/vacuum systems, volt meters, ohmmeters, soldering equipment, and a variety of precision hand tools.
