Job summary

The Bayer Radiology Device R&D Co-op in Pennsylvania collaborates with cross-functional teams to support product development across the lifecycle. You will gain hands-on experience in systems engineering, requirements, verification, and risk management in both lab and office settings.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an engineering degree, have completed sophomore year, and can work full-time. Strong communication and MS Office skills are required, with exposure to medical device development

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited bachelor's or master's degree program in systems/related engineering.
• Sophomore year completed or higher.
• Able to work full-time during Co-op assignment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Able to organize and manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Assist with requirements development, review, traceability, and change management.
• Support verification and validation planning, execution, data collection, and reporting.
• Participate in engineering investigations and root cause analysis.
• Assist with risk management, hazard identification, risk analysis, and verification.
• Contribute to human factors and usability activities, including test prep and analysis.
• Analyze test data and prepare engineering summaries and reports.
• Support design reviews and cross-functional project meetings.
• Work in lab and office environments to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Support continuous improvement within Systems Engineering.
• Assist with technical documentation for regulated medical device development.
