Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking an experienced Remote Care Technician I to join a call-center team supporting remote patient monitoring. The role involves answering technical inquiries, guiding patients through transmitter setup, and coordinating with medical professionals and internal departments.

Training and certifications will be completed as needed to maintain service quality. This on-site position requires strong communication, multitasking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or product support preferred.
• Experience with medical devices and technical support is a plus.
• Ability to work in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer technical and informational inquiries from physicians, health care professionals, field staff, and patients.
• Triages calls and forwards complex issues to senior staff when needed.
• Assist with patient monitor set-up, transmitter equipment, and remote care product information.
• Document issues and forward reports to Product Reporting and Engineering as required.
• Guide customers in navigating Merlin.net and assist with password resets.
• Provide alternative data transmission options when IT/server connectivity is down.
