Job summary

Accuray is seeking a Software Engineer to participate in requirements, design, development, integration, and testing of software for a complex radiation therapy medical device. You will collaborate across software and hardware subsystems to deliver reliable treatment planning and delivery software that directly impacts patient care.

The role emphasizes high-quality code, rigorous testing, and strong cross-functional communication within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in C++ object-oriented development.
  • Experience with automated unit testing frameworks and building/testable code.
  • Experience with client/server architecture and multi-threaded environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software that supports the lifecycle of a complex radiation therapy medical device.
  • Write high-quality, reliable code that fulfills product and subsystem requirements in a clinical domain.
  • Implement automated tests (unit/integration) to validate functionality and reduce regressions.
  • Troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve issues in new or existing features.
  • Contribute to software design discussions and document decisions and outcomes.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated software solutions for patient treatments.
