Job summary

Accuray is seeking a Software Engineer to participate in requirements, design, development, integration, and testing of software for a complex radiation therapy medical device. You will collaborate across software and hardware subsystems to deliver reliable treatment planning and delivery software that directly impacts patient care.

The role emphasizes high-quality code, rigorous testing, and strong cross-functional communication within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or equivalent required.
Proficiency in C++ object-oriented development.
Experience with automated unit testing frameworks and building/testable code.
Experience with client/server architecture and multi-threaded environments.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software that supports the lifecycle of a complex radiation therapy medical device.
Write high-quality, reliable code that fulfills product and subsystem requirements in a clinical domain.
Implement automated tests (unit/integration) to validate functionality and reduce regressions.
Troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve issues in new or existing features.
Contribute to software design discussions and document decisions and outcomes.
Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated software solutions for patient treatments.
