Job summary

Inogen is seeking a Systems Engineer to drive product development and technology assessment across multiple disciplines. You will evaluate concepts, prototype solutions, and support manufacturing with a focus on reliability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.

The role involves maintaining the R&D lab, coordinating with partners, and contributing to the IP portfolio while delivering regular project updates and technical demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or related field required.
• Experience in a research laboratory environment (1–7+ years by level).
• Medical manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analytically design and evaluate new product concepts and technology proof of concepts.
• Support the design and manufacture of Inogen products.
• Work with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective products.
• Generate and protect intellectual property to support corporate goals.
• Develop and refine Inogen's R&D capabilities for rapid development and testing.
• Maintain detailed test setups and records for history files.
• Prepare and present reports and demonstrations of project work.
