Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Procurement Specialist in Sylmar, CA (onsite) to lead strategic procurement projects and drive supplier performance.

You will analyze quotes and negotiate contracts, align with engineering and regulatory teams, and manage POs and vendor communications to deliver cost savings and timelines. The role requires a 4+ year background in engineering/procurement within regulated industries, strong data visualization skills, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in engineering, technical project management, procurement, or supply chain in regulated industry.
• Proficient with MS Office suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Data processing and data visualization experience.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement projects and negotiations.
• Knowledge of medical device industry standards is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages multiple supply chain projects, including supplier risk initiatives.
• Analyze quotes, bids, RFQs, and RFPs to recommend best total cost options.
• Source and evaluate mechanical and electrical vendors for medical device components.
• Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and vendor onboarding.
• Manage procurement requests, purchase orders, and vendor communications.
• Track and report on project milestones, timelines, and cost savings.
• Support tariff mitigation strategies and second sourcing opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and regulatory teams for supplier compliance.
• Maintain records of sourcing decisions, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Ensure alignment with medical device industry standards and internal quality systems.
• Identify, develop, and gather resources to complete project phases (scope, charter, execution, closure).
• Perform risk analyses and develop mitigation strategies to improve supply chain outcomes.
• Direct project execution by assigning tasks, tracking schedules, and managing risks.
• Provide guidance on data visualization and KPI development for project staff.
• Communicate status through standard reports and meetings.
• Resolve issues with stakeholders and customers as appropriate.
• Break down complex projects for clear communication to all levels.
• Interface with senior management on significant matters.
