Job summary

Medela LLC in McHenry, IL is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design, develop and improve mechanical components and assemblies for medical devices, guiding concepts from prototyping to production, and applying GD&T and Stage-Gate processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure regulatory and quality requirements, and translate designs into manufacturable products while working in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with mechanical design and manufacturing.
• Proficient CAD experience with Creo/SolidWorks/Siemens NX and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve mechanical components and assemblies for medical devices.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings and technical specifications.
• Apply GD&T to support accurate, manufacturable designs and verifications.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory and Operations teams on requirements.
• Help transition designs into manufacturing and commercialization.
