Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: 2yr degree, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 2+ years of diverse experience in high volume production setting adhering to ISO and FDA Regulations.
• Experience operating in ISO, FDA, or comparable quality systems.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical and optical diagrams and technical specifications.
• Hands-on electromechanical repair, rebuild, field service experience.
• Experience with instrumentation in the medical field.
• Competencies: use of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
• Clear communication of ideas, problems and solutions to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and final acceptance testing on medical devices.
• Diagnose problems by analyzing data, independently or with job aids.
• Approve repairs up to a value of $2,000 ensuring cost efficiency.
• Make cost-effective decisions for budget-conscious maintenance.
• Analyze calibration and service data to verify device functionality.
• Provide support to other technicians and teammates.
• Complete test records and work orders accurately and timely.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and optical systems per SOPs and ESD safety.
• Clean, decontaminate, and surveil test lab space and instruments as required.
• Inspect equipment and components for errors and calibration status prior to use.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and documentation practices.
• Complete training curricula by due dates.
