Job summary

IntePros is seeking a Medical Device Engineer to join a client in Tempe, Arizona. The role focuses on design, development, verification, and commercialization of innovative medical device products in a regulated environment.

You will collaborate across R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management teams to translate requirements into robust designs and test plans, while ensuring manufacturability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Fundamental understanding of engineering practices within a regulated environment.
• Experience applying engineering concepts to product development.
• Ability to work independently with sound engineering judgment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and project plans to team members, leaders, and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, modify, and verify components and systems for medical devices with minimal supervision.
• Translate user needs into design inputs and product specifications while developing system-level designs.
• Develop and analyze engineering solutions, including prototyping concepts to establish proof of concept.
• Apply engineering principles to solve complex technical problems.
• Support root cause analysis and evaluate solutions against requirements.
• Develop bench testing methods and fixtures for verification and validation.
• Design, validate, and support commercialization of new products considering cost, reliability, safety and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability.
