Job summary

Qualifications

5+ years of software testing experience.
Experience with embedded software or embedded systems.
Experience in a regulated industry, preferably medical devices or automotive.
Ability to document investigations clearly and accurately.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Investigate software defects and anomalies, coordinating with engineering teams and SMEs.
Analyze root cause, severity, and impact of defects across users, interfacing systems, and versions.
Develop and document repeatable steps to reproduce reported issues.
Identify mitigations and evaluate risks of unresolved defects.
Escalate issues affecting safety-critical requirements or risk controls as needed.
Coordinate defect triage and ensure unique defects progress through investigation.
Maintain auditable issue records in JIRA with facts and data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track investigation progress and priorities.
Support quality and compliance by documenting findings, risk considerations, and dispositions.
