Operate CNC machines proficiently and oversee setup and tool changes of CNC lathes and mills.

Requirements

• Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of machine shop experience, including 5 years with CNC machines or as a journeyman machinist.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience working with small precision parts and tight tolerances.
• Knowledge of basic inspection tools and techniques.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Good understanding of shop math.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Equipment Used

• CNC Lathe and/or Mills

Physical Requirements

• Light physical activity: lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and standing for extended periods.
• Work conditions include exposure to noise, vibration, coolants, and oils.
