Job summary

Merit Medical in Richmond, VA is seeking a production team member for medical device assembly, order picking, and boxing duties on a rotating line. You will perform on-line inspections to ensure specs and quality.

The role requires high attention to detail, basic math, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Overtime may be required; dependability and dexterity are desirable.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Demonstrates competencies and ability to rotate in a specific assembly line.
• Ability to meet line rate expectations.
• Ability to recognize, identify and distinguish between different medical products by their appearance.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in checking information.
• Knowledge of basic math and the ability to apply it in work situations.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to perform a variety of tasks requiring dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Ability to visually check work performed and identify whether a product has been assembled correctly.
• Dependability in coming to work on time and meeting company attendance guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assembles medical products on an assembly operation, performing a variety of tasks on a rotating basis.
• Performs on-line and in-process visual inspection of products to ensure specifications per work order and procedure are followed.
• Ensures product assembled meets quality standards.
• Rejects product outside of specifications.
• Picks and verifies orders for accuracy.
• Prepares shipments including labels.
• Performs the basic boxing procedures.
• Adheres to safety standards.
• Working overtime may be required for this position.
• Performs other tasks, as required.
