Job summary

Merit Medical Systems in Sarasota, FL seeks an assembler to join our production team. You will assemble medical products on a rotating assembly line, perform on-line inspections, and assist with line change-overs to maintain quality.

The role requires dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work with English and Spanish speakers in a team environment. Workers may operate testing equipment and should be able to meet line rate expectations while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English, Spanish or meet local language requirement.
• Ability to rotate in a specific assembly line or work cell.
• Dexterous with fine motor skills suitable for repetitive assembly tasks.
• Able to visually check work and identify correct assembly.
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assembles medical products on an assembly operation, performing a variety of tasks on a rotating basis.
• Rotates through the assembly line as needed.
• Performs on-line and in-process visual inspection to ensure specifications.
• Assists Team Leader and Technicians with product and/or machine change-overs.
• Ensures assembled products meet quality standards.
• Rejects products outside of specifications.
• Adheres to safety standards.
• May operate testing equipment for periodic product and process testing.
• Overtime may be required for this position.
• Performs other related tasks as required.
