Job summary

Abbott in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Assembly Technician to perform electronic assembly and test operations on pacemakers, ICDs and related medical devices. You will solder, inspect, test units, and follow FDA-regulated procedures in a clean-room environment.

The role requires high school diploma or GED and basic manual dexterity, with attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced team. Overtime is regularly required and Abbott offers strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: six+ months in assembly of digital/analog circuitry or related devices.
• Must have strong manual dexterity and ability to use standard hand tools.
• Good reading, writing and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs Electronic Assembly: solders, tests, and x-rays medical devices using microscopes and test equipment.
• Performs Cutting/Coating: inspects for bubbles/voids, patches epoxy, and bakes parts as needed.
• Notifies supervisor of supply needs and production difficulties.
• Maintains compliance with FDA regulations and quality systems.
• Operates production equipment and keeps accurate documentation.
