Job summary

Abbott in Plymouth, MN is hiring for an Operator II in the Electrophysiology division. The role focuses on routine assembly operations, casting/coating, microscope-assisted inspection, and packaging of medical devices.

Weekend night shift (Fri-Sun 5:30 PM–5:00 AM) with potential overtime supports production goals. Required: high school diploma, 2+ years in medical device assembly, English communication, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and willingness to overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Typically, two plus years of relevant training/experience in medical device assembly.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs Casting/Coating functions.
• Examines devices after molding for bubbles or excess epoxy.
• Uses small drills, reamers, taps, and knives to fix defects.
• Patches and repairs using syringes; bakes parts to cure epoxy patches.
• Performs Mechanical Assembly and kits/assembles parts using microscopes.
• Locates and corrects problems by inspecting devices and components.
• Reviews device documentation for completeness and accuracy.
