Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a detail‑oriented Assembler for the 2nd shift in Carlsbad, CA. The role focuses on precise medical device assembly (catheters) under a microscope in a regulated cleanroom, following SOPs and cGMP requirements to ensure product quality and compliance.

You will train on production tasks, read travelers/routers, operate tools, and perform in‑process inspection, collaborating with engineers to refine processes and maintain high standards in a startup environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ months in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with microscope-based assembly.
• Experience in medical device assembly, especially small components.
• Cleanroom experience and ability to follow cleanroom protocols.
• Ability to understand and perform in-process inspection for workmanship and quality.
• Follow SOPs, Work Instructions, and cGMP requirements accurately.
• Effective communication with engineers, supervisors, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture medical devices, including catheter assemblies, under a microscope with high accuracy.
• Follow SOPs, Line Clearance, Work Instructions and cGMP requirements.
• Complete training and apply knowledge daily.
• Read travelers/routers and identify materials for builds.
• Operate tools and document activities timely and accurately.
• Set up equipment and perform in-process inspection to maintain quality.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure product integrity.
• Develop and refine process documentation for manufacturing operations.
• Perform inventory counts and support material control.
