Job summary

Merrimack Manufacturing is seeking a reliable 1st Shift Manufacturing Technician to assemble medical devices and document mechanical and electrical assemblies. The role requires self-sufficiency in assembly, testing, and documentation in a regulated environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–3:00 pm, 9/80 with every other Friday off. You will work closely with Engineers and line leads to ensure quality, traceability, and continuous improvement across the production line.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with assembly, testing and the documentation of mechanical and electrical devices.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
• Willingness to undertake various tasks and adapt to unexpected situations within dynamic company environment.
• Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, and manufacturing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble plastic and metal components into medical devices in accordance with approved procedures.
• Utilize small hand tools, presses, fixtures, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and test fixtures.
• Use documentation such as BOMs, product flow charts, work orders, check sheets, visual aids, production reports and drawings to assemble and record results.
• May perform soldering, fabricating, crimping, mechanical assembly, sealing, or bonding and gluing as required.
• Kitting assemblies using a parts list, scanner and inventory software as required.
• Participate in startup or end-of-day equipment inspections and verifications.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and report safety concerns to management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement as part of a cross-functional team.
• Adhere to GMP, ISO, QSR, and FDA regulations and maintain accurate records.
