Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Data Entry Operator I for Pompano Beach, FL, on-call. You will enter patient and specimen data into the laboratory information system, verify requisitions, and ensure accuracy of names in Navinet or Emdeon.

The role requires a minimum typing speed of 40 WPM, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA and safety regulations. A High School Diploma or GED is required; medical terminology knowledge is preferred and experience as a data entry clerk in a medical facility

Qualifications

• Minimum typing speed 40 WPM or equivalent; 6 months work experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• One year experience as a Data Entry Clerk in a medical facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient and specimen information into the laboratory information system.
• Verify requisitions for completeness of patient and client information.
• Verify patient names in Navinet or Emdeon where needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information per HIPAA and regulations.
• Follow safety, regulatory, and procedural guidelines.
