Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking a Data Entry Operator I for on-call shifts. The role involves entering patient and specimen data into the laboratory information system and verifying information for accuracy.

Responsibilities include data validation, confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and using Navinet/Emdeon. Requires a high school diploma and at least 6 months of related experience, with potential for performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with at least 6 months of work experience.
• Preferred: experience as Data Entry Clerk in a medical facility.
• Knowledge of Navinet and Emdeon systems.

Responsibilities

• Verifies requisitions for completeness of patient and client information.
• Accurately enters all patient and specimen information into the laboratory information system.
• Verifies patient names in Navinet or Emdeon for cases that do not have insurance cards and also verifying illegible names.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information concerning patients, physicians, employees, clients, vendors, and the Company.
• Complies with all State, Federal, professional regulations as well as department rules, polices, and procedural manuals.
• Adherence to Safety Regulations.
• Adherence to HIPAA Regulations.
• Ability to learn and work in the Laboratory Information System
• Performs other duties as assigned.
