Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a dedicated courier to transport and support the Department of Laboratory Medicine. You will operate hospital vehicles for routine and on-demand routes, ensuring timely pick-ups and deliveries to labs, pharmacies, homecare, and clinics.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and a valid Ohio driver’s license; strong communication skills and basic computer use are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains schedule to complete routine and on-demand routes daily.
• Handles pick-ups and deliveries from lab, pharmacy, homecare, referring hospitals, clinics, physician offices and outpatient centers.
• Documents all route information and pickups per department guidelines.
• Evaluates and monitors weather conditions to preplan trips and delays.
• Maintains safety of cargo and vehicle per hospital guidelines.
• Assists in training new staff and documents their progress.
• Provides customer service to ensure satisfaction and quality patient care.
