Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a courier driver for full-time shifts (2 PM–10 PM) to support the Department of Laboratory Medicine. You will drive hospital vehicles, complete routes, and ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries for labs, pharmacies, homecare, and clinics.

The role requires a valid Ohio driver’s license, ability to pass background checks, and strong communication skills. A hospital cell phone and tracking system are used to coordinate operations.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy.
• Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, driving qualifications and training per hospital policy.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains schedule to complete routine and on-demand routes daily.
• Handles pick-ups and deliveries from lab, pharmacy, homecare, referring hospitals, clinics, physician offices and outpatient centers.
• Documents all route information and pick-ups per department guidelines.
• Evaluates and monitors weather conditions throughout shift to preplan for anticipated trips and delays throughout region.
• Maintains safety of cargo and vehicle in accordance with hospital guidelines.
• Assists in training of new staff and documents their progress per department guidelines.
• Provides customer service in an efficient and effective manner to ensure customer satisfaction and quality patient care.
