Quest Diagnostics in Farmington Hills, MI, seeks a Medical Courier - Advanced to deliver medical specimens and lab materials on a Monday–Friday schedule 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, with rotational weekends. This mobile role offers competitive hourly pay and shift differentials.

You will communicate with doctors and lab staff, operate a company vehicle (non-CDL), use scanners and route software, and ensure proper specimen handling and documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and reliable documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the road.
• Comfortable using mobile devices or scanning tools.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and be on the move during shift.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens and lab materials.
• Communicate professionally with doctors, nurses, and lab staff to ensure timely deliveries.
• Safely operate a company-provided vehicle (non-CDL).
• Use handheld scanners, route software, and mobile apps to track deliveries.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, storage, and documentation.
• Comply with DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety standards.
• Work a dynamic schedule with coverage on multiple shifts and weekends.
• May complete special assignments or assist with projects as needed.
• Cover routes and functions as necessary, including emergency coverage.

What you'll do:

• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens and lab materials
• Communicate professionally with doctors, nurses, and lab staff to ensure timely deliveries
• Safely operate a company-provided vehicle (non-CDL)
• Use handheld scanners, route software, and mobile apps to track deliveries
• Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, storage, and documentation
• Comply with all DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety standards
• Work a dynamic schedule: you may cover routes on multiple shifts and/or weekends
• May complete special assignments such as training, pack out, air; may work with special projects and clients, and may assist with Group Lead duties
• Cover routes and functions deemed necessary, including covering multiple shifts and providing coverage on an emergency basis

Qualifications

What you need:

• Valid Driver's license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and documentation of a Motor Vehicle Record with no more than two moving violation convictions within the previous 36-month period, with none in the most recent 12 months.
• Great customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, with reliable documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the road
• Comfortable using mobile devices or scanning tools
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and be on the move for much of your shift
• Prior medical, customer service, courier, or logistics experience is strongly preferred
