Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Courier to join our team in the OKC area. The role involves daily pickups, transporting medical specimens, and delivering to branch locations. The position supports Labcorp’s commitment to delivering accurate diagnostics and patient-centered service.

You will work Monday–Friday from 1:00pm to 9:30pm, with potential for additional hours or rotating weekends. A company vehicle is provided for route use with optional home use for a monthly fee.

Qualifications

  • No specific education required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year courier or route delivery experience preferred.
  • Experience handling medical specimens or lab operations preferred.
  • Experience with handheld devices or dispatch apps preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Load all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickups.
  • Complete daily pick up schedule in a timely manner.
  • Will cover locations in Southeast Metro OKC and surrounding areas (50+ miles).
  • Deliver all daily picks to your branch at end of shift.
  • Handle all specimens and lab samples safely.
  • Safely operate company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
  • Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
  • Work directly with dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
  • Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed.
  • Occasional driving in inclement weather.

LabCorp is seeking a Medical Courier to join our team in the OKC, OK area (73179).

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday 1:00pm – 9:30pm (additional hours / Rotating weekends may be requested as needed)

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • No Experience or Education Required
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 or more years of professional courier or route‑based delivery experience, ideally within a medical or laboratory company
  • 1 or more years of experience handling medical specimens or supporting hospital / laboratory operations
  • 1 or more years of experience using handheld delivery‑management devices or route optimization tools, such as scanners, GPS‑based routing software, or dispatch applications
Additional Job Standards
  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Punctual with strong time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to problem solve customer issues
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

This role will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports, while providing excellent service to our clients.

Included with this position is a company vehicle to use for the route. In addition, for only $125 per month, you will have the option of taking this vehicle home with you and using it for personal use.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
