People Inc. (NY) is seeking a Medical Coordinator to support residents, families, and nursing staff. You will assist with referrals, scheduling, and medication stock while promoting independence and a safe environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license that meets agency policy.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following: standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals to community based medical specialty providers.
• Assist with scheduling and attending appointments and procedures with persons served as needed.
• Assist in delegated nursing care as directed by RN.
• Ensure there is sufficient stock of medications, and the medication room is organized and clean.
• Communicate with clinical staff to ensure follow up to medical appointments in their clinical area.
