Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Have a valid Michigan driver's license and maintain the ability to be insured by COC's insurance carrier.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication skills.
• Complete and maintain all required training.
• Be in good physical health with the capability of transferring and/or lifting persons who require physical assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assures medical, dental, and other needs are met. Manages and documents the administration of medication and handles medical appointments and necessary follow-up documentation.
• Guides and assists with personal and medical care needs.
• Schedules appointments to minimize conflicts with other activities; posts appointments on a calendar for staff review.
• Provides or offers instruction in self-sufficiency, nutrition, meals, health, development, employment, community resources, communication, and transportation.

Job description
