Job summary

Healthnetwork Foundation seeks Medical Coordination Specialists to guide members to top doctors and hospitals for specialty care. You will be the direct contact, providing expert guidance, answering questions, and coordinating every step for a personalized experience.

Ideal candidates have health-field experience, strong medical terminology knowledge, and excellent communication with medical professionals. Office-based role in Pepper Pike, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Experience in a health-related field.
• Knowledge of clinical terminology and ability to explain medical facts in lay terms.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with medical professionals.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Willingness to work in Pepper Pike office five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Present Healthnetwork options including hospitals, doctors, and relevant research links.
• Confirm course of action via phone calls and/or emails.
• Refer patient information to hospital liaison.
• Enter all correspondence into CRM database.
• Follow up calls to members before and after appointments.
• Occasionally meet patients at local hospital partner locations.

Medical Coordination Specialists (MC's) are the heart of Healthnetwork, ensuring our members receive seamless access to top doctors and hospitals for specialty care. As the direct point of contact, they provide expert guidance, answer questions with confidence, and coordinate every step of the process, delivering a personalized and reassuring experience. Their role is essential in upholding our reputation for excellence, building trust with our members, and making sure they receive the highest level of care available.

Position Requirements:

• Experience in a health-related field (at a hospital or clinic, at a health-focused association, etc.)
• Broad knowledge of clinical terminology and ability to explain medical facts in layman’s terms
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and experience communicating with medical professionals and or physicians
• Ability to support or create a positive work environment
• Ability to identify and solve problems
• Adept at setting priorities and multitasking
• Outstanding customer service and phone skills
• Ability to work with confidential matters
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and time manage
