Qualifications

• Essential Requirements: PhD, MD, PharmD.
• 0-1 years pharma or medical communication agency experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with account teams, other writers, editors, physicians, and clients.
• Work as team player in a large team.
• Analyze and synthesize complex information from multiple sources.
• Communicate medical/technical information to a wide variety of audiences.
• Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team-oriented environment.
• Efficiently prioritize multiple tasks and communicate effectively with others; can quickly evaluate resources and potential challenges and communicate with the team in an actionable manner.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), medical literature databases (PubMed and/or EMBASE), referencing and scientific visualization software

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and creative scientific narratives for medical communication needs for multiple clients and disease areas.
• Synthesize, prioritize, and visualize data to develop medical communication assets.
• Conduct literature searches and desktop research to understand new therapeutic areas.
• Interpret complex scientific data for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with internal medical team to develop content for medical educational programs.
• Participate in client meetings to review content and gather feedback.
• Ensure content is scientifically accurate and supported by original references.
• Copy-edit and QA content against references and client specs.
• Update content based on internal and client feedback.
• Manage multiple workstreams and track project deadlines.
• Build knowledge across multiple disease areas.
• Travel up to 10% for advisory boards or conferences as needed.
